Types of Classrooms
General Purpose Classrooms (GPC)
A GPC classroom is equipped with a TV, VCR, and transparency projector. Cassette players, CD players and DVD players are available upon request, please call 756-7198. Visit our Classroom Finder page to view the locations of GPCs.
Smart Rooms (SR)
Smart rooms allow faculty and students to connect a laptop to our Smart Panel system so that presentations may be made for all to see. Videos and DVDs may be shown using the projection system as well. Visit our Classroom Finder page to view the locations of University-scheduled SmartRooms.
Multimedia Classrooms (MM)
Each Multimedia classroom is equipped with PC and Mac computers, a video projection system, document camera, VCR/ DVD player. Faculty members scheduled in Multimedia classrooms will be provided with a computer account so that files and settings will be retained throughout the quarter. Department Scheduled Classrooms
CT services the campus’ university scheduled classrooms that contain campus standard Smart room equipment. This service has been expanded to include department scheduled rooms with campus-standard Smart room equipment for interested departments. This service consists of:
- Regularly scheduled maintenance of campus-standard Smart room AV equipment
- Repair of damaged campus-standard Smart room AV equipment
- Refresh of end-of-life campus-standard Smart room AV equipment
